Many Thousand Miles Behind Us

Taking its title from the last song on the CD, this compilation is a selection of songs from all parts of the traditional, roots and acoustic repertoire. I am very pleased with the work done by Pete Allison and Root Music.  I am also very proud of the contribution made by Pete on Tenor Banjo, Bodhran and whistle, Georgia Philip on vocals and Sarah O'Neill on fiddle. It also features the Greyhound Regulars!

Dan O'Connell was kind enough to write the piece on the back.  It comes out a little small on the image so I have repeated it here.

"Nothing less than one outstanding revivalist folk musician! With a gentle quality in his voice and guitar work, Peter can take the listener into a story and make it come alive. In addition, Peter is a master at story telling with a mix of humour and imagination in his original compositions. In short, Peter is one outstanding performer and songwriter, and the listener is never disappointed. I am a huge fan."

Thanks Dan!
